Northside Park is located in northwest Corning. It is accessible by way of Colusa, Tehama, Sixth, and West Streets. It is centrally located to serve the majority of residents in this quadrant. The park is 2.46 acres in size. At the northeast corner of the park are 2 surfaced tennis courts. These courts are lighted and are used primarily during the evenings and weekends. The courts are surrounded by a 15 foot chain link fence with gates at both the north and south sides for entrance.
	To the west of the tennis courts is a large open space area with large trees bordering the north side of the park. This are can be used for games and events that require large open spaces. At one end of the grass area is a large barbecue pit with 2 picnic table and a garbage can. The south side of this area has 4 pieces of play equipment, a swing set with 7 swings, roundabout, and a jungle gym. Bordering the south side of this area are 4 picnic tables, all on cement slabs, with 2 garbage cans, and 1 barbecue grill. To the south of these is an access road from West Street to the parking lot. The parking lot is paved and has lined spaces for 18 automobiles. At the north end of the lot is a basketball hoop with a backboard and chain net.
Located to the east of the parking lot is Teddy Pohler's Pool, also known as the City Pool. Constructed in 1965, this is the only public pool facility in the City of Corning. The pool is equipped with a 25 meter, 6 lane pool ranging from 3.5 feet deep at the shallow end, to 8 feet deep at the diving end. There are 2 sets of stairs at both sides of the shallow end, with 2 ladders located in the middle and deep end of the pool on both sides. There are holes in the deck at the deep end for starting blocks and 2 one meter diving boards (installed 1992). The pool capacity is 160. In addition to the large pool, there is a small wading pool. This pool is an excellent pool for teaching young children and infants how to swim. Capacity of this pool is 47. There is a 3 foot tall chain link fence between the large pool and the small pool with gates at the north and south ends of the deck area. Surrounding both pools is a concrete deck area with a lifeguard chair located near the deep end of the large pool.
	Located to the east of the pool facility is a small children's play area equipped with 3 pieces of play equipment. This is surrounded by a chain link fence with entrances to the area at the north and south ends. Along the east end of the park are 2 picnic tables and some trees for shade. In the south east corner of the park is a service building and 2 picnic tables with some trees for shade. There are drinking fountains located at the pool area and by the tennis courts.
