The City Council appoints the City Manager who serves at their pleasure and who implements Council Policy. The Mayor and City Councilmembers also represent the City at official functions and in relationship with other organizations.

The Mayor is elected by the voters every two years, and the City Councilmembers are elected for four year terms that overlap with the Mayor's term. Elections are held in November in even numbered years (2012, 2014, etc.). The City Council meets at 7:30 pm on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month in the City Council Chambers at City Hall, corner of Solano Street and Third Street.

Council Members can be contacted through the City Clerk's Office or directly by the email linked names listed above.
